Thursday, August 8, 2013
The rate at which style trends change around the world is tremendous.  Fashion has met the Far East and it was a beautiful encounter - kimonos, obi belts, dragon embroidery—ruled the spring 2013 runways.

A Western take towards the East gives us a whole spectrum of form and print.
Designers were inspired by the far east this season, and created designs that featured delicate floral prints, gold accents, and kimono  style sleeves.

Oriental fashion with its extensive use of luxurious fabrics and huge attention to details has always been attractive for Western fashionistas. We like unusual colours, vibrant prints and immaculate tailoring as much as we like the fact Asian women can look sexy and seductive without showing too much.  it’s a tough one to pull off.  Go too far and you’ll end up looking like you’re off to a dress up party – Geisha style.

What do you think of this trend? Would it be something that you would use?
