Style tip 6

Wednesday, May 23, 2012

You need to ensure you have the right foundation garments, such as bras, underwear, and shape wear. Under wire must sit flat and not dig into your skin in any way. Not only does a properly-fitting bra give you a more flattering silhouette and comfort, it can alleviate strain on your back and shoulders. A well fitting bra makes your clothing fit much better while boosting your self-confidence.

The cup size and the band size are most important in choosing the right fit. The cup size is matched with letters while the band size with numbers. For example, 36B, 38C, 40D etc

1.  Measure Cup Size: Measure around your back, across the fullest part of your breast. Make sure the measuring tape is horizontal but not too tight

2.  Measure Band Size: Measure around your rib cage, just under the bust. Make sure you pull the measuring tape tight and horizontally around your body.

Chain headbands

something i really love at the moment are chain headbands,  you can tastefully incorporate metal chain into your style and especially because it lends itself to DIY: If you don't want to go out and buy something similar, you can take silver necklaces and pin them in place.

Trend to try: Pencil skirts

They are everywhere you turn, in every fabric, colour and print.  They’re a classic piece that will never go out of style, can be worked for any occasion.  No matter if you are young or old, you’ll always feel good and comfortable wearing pencil skirts.

Pencil skirts look best when the hemline falls just before or after the knees. Look for skirts with a short slit up the middle (in the back) or up the side of the leg. You can also play with patterned pencil skirts or try master the color blocking trend.

They are extremely flattering for most body shapes and It allows women to exude sexiness in a subtle wayPair with heels, which will elongate the legs and create a slimmer silhouette. It fits any time, age and fashion.

Tie Dye!

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

I know i love Tie Dye and this trend is making its round again this year. It has been adapted into mainstream fashion, on more than just t-shirts.   It is a fun look and can be worn with may items in your wardrobe.  Choose pieces with one to three colors that blend together easily, look for interesting detailing, modern shapes and tie-dye denim, the result is an absolutely stylish laid-back cool.
Have fun with this look, you can even do it yourself!

Printed Pants!

Monday, May 21, 2012

Printed pants are making a huge splash in the fashion world, their bright colors and wild patterns are eye-catching. They are a great way to spice up your wardrobe and are anything but boring! Cropped, harem, flowing, and fitted styles are making a stylish appearance.  When you're shopping for a pair of printed pants, look for bright, colorful shapes, stripes, and geometric patterns.

If you are going to try print pants, keep the rest of the look toned down by using a plain color blouse or shirt with them. Otherwise it can turn into a fashion catastrophe.

Even though printed pants are pretty much an accessory on their own, it doesn’t hurt to add a thin belt or a pair of statement earrings into the mix.  choose low-key ones that are mainly there just to add flair, simple accessories are always the best choice.

There are so many options when it comes to choosing the print that’s right for you, so make sure to try on different looks until you find one that is right for you

Eco Friendly Fashion

Wednesday, May 16, 2012
The trend towards designing, manufacturing and purchasing green fashion is increasing with each year. Eco-friendly fashion is a hot trend. And you don't have to sacrifice style or pay an arm and a leg to get eco-friendly trendy clothes.  organic clothing never goes out of style and It's becoming available in more clothing stores every season, making it easier to find for most people. It is also available online in organic clothing stores.

Eco friendly fashion does not just mean recycled clothing. New clothes are definitely okay, but being green about it means that we have to be aware about how they were made and engage in fair trade and make sure that their workers are working under humane and favorable conditions.

Eco friendly clothing should be made with a high percentage of organic materials or reusing fabric, such as cotton grown without pesticides and silk made by worms fed on organic trees, fabrics that don't involve the use of harmful chemicals and bleaches to colour fabric. And most importantly, eco-friendly clothes are made to last, so that people can keep them for longer.

Mint Green!

Tuesday, May 1, 2012

I'm in love with this pastel color.

Style Tip 5

With everything rising in our economy, and your fashion shopping budget is getting less and less, know you can build a stylish wardrobe without spending a lot of money.  The ability to become stylish doesn't need to be limited by your budget.  You can always find designer looks for less. This way you'll still look like a fashionista. if you shop wisely and carefully (without swiping those credit cards) you can look stylish and sexier and still have the money to go out on that hot date!
you need to remember:

1.  Being stylish has nothing to do with your size. It is about making the most of your shape.

2.  Being stylish does not have to break the bank.  looking good isn’t about money, it’s about style, and style never goes out of fashion.

3.  There are 10 essential items every woman should own:
      1. Basic black dress
      2. Trench coat
      3. Classic dress pants
      4. White shirt
      5. Jeans
      6. sweater
      7. Skirt
      8. Day dress
      9. Blazer
     10. A comfortable alternative to the sweatsuit

4.  Instead of buying something new, think about spending part of your budget on tailoring clothes you already own.

5.  Indulge in fun jewelry like a statement-making necklace, bracelet or cocktail ring. You don't have to spend more than R30 or R20.  find an item that you can wear with lots of different outfits and to different occasions.

6.  good posture: this style tip is free. We look better, people perceive us more positively and we look as though were completely confident in how we're presenting ourselves to the world. You can be immaculately dressed, and if you have poor posture, then you're not going to be able to pull it off.

7.  Stay up to date with all of your favorite stores' sales. Sign up for on-line newsletters and check their websites and flyers frequently to see when the sales will be going on. The best times to shop for winter clothing is when the summer clothing is being put on display. Shop for summer clothing when the winter clothing is being put on the racks.

8.  Browse your local thrift and goodwill shops. You can sometimes find great name brand clothing at bargain prices. People often turn in brand new clothing with the tags still on them.

9.  Shop in factory outlet stores. Factory outlet stores often offer clothing at lower prices what is found in high end retail stores.

10.  Trade clothes with your friends or family members who wear the same size as you. Trade clothes with each other and everybody gets a few new outfits.

The bottom line is, blowing your rent money on one outfit isn't dressing to impress. What matters is how you present yourself.  The clothes we wear send a message to the world about how we want to be perceived.
